Cyber-defense logic

Defend the subnet.
Deploy the stack.

GeMax TD is a single-player tower defense set in the netrunner grid. Plant defense programs along authored paths, harden them through a tech tree of permanent upgrades, and survive intrusions that get smarter every chapter.

What's inside

Tactical depth without the bloat

Designed as a clean, replayable tower defense. No timers blocking play, no mandatory ads to win.

01

Authored paths, fixed waves

Designer-built routes you learn over runs. No procedural mush — every mission has a shape worth mastering.

02

Per-match difficulty

Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane. Pick your slope every run. Chapters ramp on top with a soft cap so late-game stays fair.

03

Tech-tree meta-progression

Earn shards from runs, spend them on a permanent tech tree. Effects are observable in-match — no invisible buffs.

04

Deterministic engine

Fixed-timestep simulation with a seeded RNG. Same seed, same run — useful for daily challenges and replays.

05

Skia rendering

GPU-accelerated 2D with glow shaders and clean vector primitives. Looks sharp on every density.

06

Plays offline

Single-player and offline-first. Save state lives on your device. No account required to play.

Loop

One run, three layers

In a mission

  • Tap a build cell to place a defense program
  • Upgrade in place — see the stat delta before you spend
  • Switch speed (1× / 2× / 3×) on the HUD when waves stabilize
  • Pause anytime; the engine clamps real time so background stalls don't punish you
  • Lose a life when an intrusion leaks; lose the run when lives hit zero

Between missions

  • Convert run shards into permanent tech-tree nodes
  • Unlock new towers and tags through chapter milestones
  • Replay any cleared mission on a higher difficulty for more shards
  • Stats and selections persist across devices via local save (cloud sync planned)

How GeMax TD makes money

Up-front: the base game is free with optional purchases and ads. Below is exactly what you'll see and what you can opt out of.

Free to play, fair to play

  • The base game is free. Optional in-app purchases and an optional subscription will be available — details disclosed in-app at the point of purchase.
  • Rewarded video ads are opt-in only — you choose when to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward.
  • Interstitial ads are shown sparingly between missions, never during active gameplay.
  • Nothing for sale grants an unfair advantage; every progression node is reachable through normal play.

Full purchase, subscription, and refund terms live in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

FAQ

Common questions

Is GeMax TD free?

Yes. The base game is free to download and play. Optional in-app purchases and an optional subscription are available, and rewarded video ads are opt-in.

Does it require an internet connection?

No. Missions, the tech tree, and the save state run fully on-device. A connection is required only to download updates, watch rewarded ads, and verify in-app purchases.

Will my progress sync across devices?

At launch, save data is local. Cloud save is on the roadmap and will be opt-in.

Are purchases pay-to-win?

No. Optional purchases never grant an unfair advantage — every progression node is reachable through normal play.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Manage and cancel from your platform's subscription settings: iOS — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Android — Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation stops the next renewal; current period continues until expiry.

What data does the game collect?
